It's been almost 1 month since my last "real" post! I'm WAY behind and don't know where to begin.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Farmington this year with family and friends. Lots of good food and company.
Winter has officially hit Farmington. Tomorrow is going to be icy! Jonathan already had an ice encounter tonight on his way home from the gym. Luckily no one was in the road when he hit some ice and did a donut and ended up in the opposite lane.
We've got the COP Christmas party this Saturday night. I decided to re-use a dress and shoes so I'm treating myself to pedicure and updo instead. :)
Only 1 Christmas gift left to buy and my tree is full. We're just about ready to head to OK on the 23rd. Can't believe it's almost that time already.
I've been busy making Christmas cards recently and have them ready for stamps. Now I have to clean up my mess in the guest room! :(
See you in OK soon!!

We started out Saturday with homemade biscuits and sausage gravy. I found my new biscuit receipt courtesy of Paula Dean.
Getting Jonathan ready to head to Houston. While he's out I've got some chick flick time planned with some friends and co-workers. We're getting together one or two nights at least to watch the Twilight movies before we go to see the new movie in a few weeks when it come out. Taking advantage of husbands being out of town. The movies are much more enjoyable without hearing how dumb they are!! :)
I'm hoping to get some Christmas shopping done while he's gone as well...fingers-crossed.

We've been enjoying the cool, rainy weather the past couple of days. It is awesome outside. Ready for snow though!! In honor of the weather we have a pot of homemade chicken and dumplings on the stove. Now we just have to smell it and wait.
There's a Sherwood Forest in garage currently. Ever year COP has a harvest festival in their building for employees kids. Each group has a different theme. Jonathan's is Robin Hood, the disney cartoon version. Jonathan was selected to be Robin Hood and was asked/volunteered to make the trees for the Sherwood Forest.
Jonathan leaves Monday for Houston for a conference he helped plan and will be back Friday night.
Just when you think things are slowing down and there's not a lot happening we get busy again.

We had a good but tiring weekend. Our friend Andrew from Louisiana was in since last Wednesday and stayed with us. Friday night we went to play pool, one of Jonathan and his favorite past times, and came back to our place with some friends afterwards. We played a board game until almost 1am. Sometimes those games get really fun the later you're up when you're all loopy from being tired. I still haven't recovered I don't think. I'm NOT a night owl!! Saturday we headed to CO to see what was left of the fall colors. We say some really beautiful areas north of Durango and around the ski area. Once we hit 10,000 feet it was all changed so we turned back to Durango. We stayed around Durango and watched some football before going to eat at a sushi place. Andrew stayed in Durango that night to catch an early flight home Sunday.
Yesterday Jonathan and I ran some errands and were lazy! We both took a nap which rarely happens.
I am going to try a new vampire book series. My boss told me about it. My boss is a 50ish year old man and his wife and teenage daughter made him read the Twilight books. He loved them and we've been talking about them a lot lately. He suggested the Sookie Stackhouse series. They are the books the HBO show True Blood were based off of. I have the book and just need to get started.
It's getting almost to freezing most night around here. Still no major frost, but a little most mornings.
Looking forward to being in OK at Christmas this year. Ready to see everyone!!
