Jonathan and I had a great Valentine's Day. During the day we didn't do much. Just had a normal day, but we went to Durango, CO for dinner at Mutu's Italian Kitchen! This restaurant has some of the best food I've ever had.
We got there before our reservation so we could have some wine at the bar and wait, but were able to go right to our seats. We went all out, drinks, appetizers, salads, entree and dessert!! I don't know what my favorite part was. We got chicken skewers for our app. They were wrapped in bacon and had two awesome dipping sauces and a cabbage salad. Jonathan ordered a duo of Ahi tuna and veal for his entree and I ordered one of the specials, pine nut crusted Mahi Mahi with pesto risotto! AMAZING!!! We finished the meal with Tiramisu before heading back to Farmington.
I have had a few more interviews this week. And a few jobs don't sound right for me, but I'll find one soon enough!
Jonathan and I have been talking about taking a vacation somewhere close this summer. So far the two choices are narrowed down to Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon. We probably won't be able to go until July since we'll be traveling back to OK in May & June. This means we will be going to Arizona or Nevada during the hottest month!!! But seeing either of those places would be fun. We haven't decided on anything yet but wanted a place we could drive to a spend a few days them come home. Those seemed like the best options so far. We both want to go drive through California but need more time for that trip.
A recent project Jonathan worked on won the COP Spirit Award. This award is only given to one project in the company and Jonathan project won. He's really excited. Unfortunately, he is no longer in the group he was in so those still in the group that worked on the project get to go to Houston and meet the CEO and accept the award. It is still exciting that Jonathan was involved in a project that is being recognized.
This Friday we are going to a Mardi Gras/Mustache party at a friends house. They are from Louisiana and celebrate all the holidays here. It a lot of fun. Many times they make authentic cajun food for the parties which is always tasty. The mustache part of the party should be interesting. A lot of the men at COP have been growing out the facial hair and are cutting crazy mustaches for this party. It's going to be scary! :) I'll try and get a picture of Jonathan before and after. I'm scared to see him and all the other guys!! I'll post pictures if I can sneak them.
