We had a busy weekend. Friday night we went a to BBQ/Intern Meet and Greet at a friends house. A local company sponsored it and shipped in a lot of food. It was a fun night.
Saturday evening we had some friends over for a BBQ at our house. Jonathan cooked two racks of ribs and BBQ chicken legs. I made some veggies to go with all the meat! :) If it was up to Jonathan that would have been left out. Our friends brought their dog, a german shep. lab mix. Daphne was not happy when she showed up. We eventually figured out she was just nervous around such a big dog. She would bark and growl, then run away. She eventually warmed up to her and chased her around everywhere. They provided great entertainment for the night.
We made plans to go camping next Saturday with some friends. We will be going to the La Plata Mountains in Colorado. There are spots to go fishing and hiking around there. It should be a fun trip.
Sunday, I tried to sleep in, but Jonathan put a little pup in my face. We took Daphne to Petco to get a stake and rope to tie her up while camping next weekend. She did great meeting all the new people and animals.
We plan on taking Daphne to some volleyball games Jonathan plays in this week. I hope she does well there too.
We have decided on our days to be in Oklahoma for Thanksgiving. We will be back in OK Nov. 20th -29th if all goes as planned. We will be going to the OU/OSU game in Norman on the 28th and hopefully tailgating with some friends before the game in our normal spot!

Puppy and more
Daphne is doing great. Yesterday afternoon and evening she was really sleepy. She was spayed early afternoon and was sleeping off the medicine they gave her a lot.
Last night was very hard on me. We couldn't let her outside because of her stitches so we tried to keep her in the guest bathtub. We watched a DVD about house breaking and it said to put her in a cage. We didn't want to get a cage so we tried to block off half the tub and put her bed in the other half. We closed her up in the bathroom and she started yelping!! She eventually found out she could get stuck if she climbs around too much on the stuff that was "blocking" her in. We un-stuck her and put her back in the tub. Pretty soon after that we heard her walking down the hall. We decided the tub wasn't working and put towels in the bathroom floors with her bed and toys. She howled off and on all night. I was suffering with her. That was painful for me to listen to. Jonathan was snoring away after a while so I suffered alone. We think she's pretty lonely sleeping alone. She was with 4 others in her pin at the shelter so she'll have to get used to this change.
Today she was a lot of fun. This morning, we woke up to a clean bathroom floor. And a pup that already seems to know to poppy outside. She had a little accident in the bathroom while I was getting ready for work, but that was after breakfast. Next time I'll take her outside right away. She didn't freak out with my hair dryer. I was nervous about using it. Jonathan was already gone to work and I didn't want to let her out of my sight and find lots of puddles throughout the house later. She didn't like her reflection in the mirror much, but loved my house shoes. I donated them to her since I've been needing new ones. The rest of the morning went great. She went to her bathroom easy.
At lunch she was ready to go outside, but still no accidents in the bathroom. She couldn't have learned potty outside only yet, could she?! I hope she has!! She was very playful for lunch. I made the mistake of letting her sit with my on the couch for a little bit, now that's where she wants to sit. That's going to have to change ASAP!!! Putting her back in the bathroom was hard. She didn't want to go and it was tough for me to leave her like that.
I hope tonight is better for sleeping!! I also hope she's not just playing a trick on us continues to potty outside!
We are going to a BBQ Friday night that's sponsored by a local company that works with COP. Saturday we are having a big BBQ for dinner for my birthday! It should be a fun and busy week!

We got a puppy. She's getting spayed tonight and we'll bring her home tomorrow after work.
She is a german shepard border collie mix. She's 2 months old. We think we are going to name her Alli, but haven't decided on that for sure. She's very sweet and like to give you love! :)
Here are her first shot with her Dad.

Hammock
We hung our hammock Monday night! It works great. It's in the shade in the late afternoon and evenings and perfect for relaxing.
It's time again
for us to make a trip to Oklahoma. We will be leaving bright and early Thursday morning.
We had a fun weekend. Friday night we went to a BBQ at some friends house. They are from Louisiana and recently made a trip there. On their way back they brought a lot of sausage, alligator, venison, and pork. So we got to help them it eat!! Yum!!!!!!
Saturday we went to a COP pool party. It was a little cool for the pool, but Jonathan had a great time playing volleyball all day. Later that evening we went to watch the new Terminator with the same friends from above. After the movie we had dinner at some other friends house and had a great night.
Sunday we decided to finally hang out hammock we bought in Mexico. We went to Lowes and got some concrete and some cedar posts. They are in the ground and tonight we will hang the hammock. It won't be ready to use for a day or so. I'll get some pictures soon. It will be nice!!!
Tonight Jonathan is playing Frisbee Football with the New Hire Network with COP. It is everyone hired in the last 5 years and interns. They get together at least once a week and play frisbee football or volleyball. He loves it!!
We are excited to be in OK in a few days and see lots of family. It should be a tiring, but a great trip!!!

The latest
Last week went fast and it felt like we were constantly moving.
A few days last week we were at of our rental house getting last minute things done and then got checked out of it.
Jonathan was in an API golf tournament Thursday and Friday. He had a great time. Saturday afternoon we went back to the course to see some friends. Then went back that evening for dinner, the raffle and hearing the scores. We didn't win anything at the raffle with our tickets, but got a "goodie" bag with someone elses. (Which we later threw away. We didn't need any pens, coffee mug or other random stuff.) Jonathan's friend did give him a fishing pole he won, but didn't want.
Before that on Sat. morning we had to go buy a new washing machine. We were very frustrated with that. We bought it a little over a year ago. 1 yr. 5 days in fact. I know this because out 1 yr. warranty was 5 days overdue. We were very irritated with that, but now we've got a nice new one!!
Sunday we went to Durango. I had been wanting sushi so we heading up to our favorite place during their happy hour and got a LOT of sushi! I was great. After that we headed to Lemon Resevoir just outside of Durango to a lake. Some friends asked about going camping soon since they know we are always up for it. We drove around checking out camping spots and did a little hiking. Here are some pictures from out trip.

We stopped back in Durango for a quick bite before heading back to Farmington. We ate at a great place called The Cyprus Cafe. We had lavendar lemonade, stuffed clamari and soup. We sat out on their patio and listened to relaxing music. I was really nice! (Robert & Lisa we're taking you two here for sure next time you make it out!!!!)
Next week we'll be back in OK for another quick, weekend trip. We'll be in on Thursday, out on Sunday. Our friends are getting married in Mustang and Jonathan is one of the groomsmen. We can't wait to get to see family again and have fun at the wedding.
