We are back from our cruise. We got in around 12:30-1:00 this morning. In my sleepiness I set my alarm wrong so didn't get up on time to get Daphne this morning. We slept until 11am this morning!!

Laundry has begun, Daphne is home and smelling clean and the yard is mowed.

Now getting ready for a family visit this weekend!! YES!!! and heading back to work tomorrow, NO!

Heading out bright and early tomorrow morning to fly to Ft. Lauderdale. Boarding the big boat Sunday morning. We are READY and in need of a vacation!

We had a fun weekend. Headed up to La Plata Canyon (Hesperus, CO) Friday after work. It is one of my favorite places. About an hour away, on the river, lots of trails and beautiful!! Other than our crazy dog deciding she wanted to sleep with us a whining all night, LITERALLY!!! It was good. We drove around some Saturday before heading home. Most of the roads are still pretty rough from winter so we weren't able to get too far.

We headed to the dog park this afternoon and Daphne got some good play time in. She even tested out the river. She decided to run across my foot at some point and sliced open my toe. Pedicure has been postponed a couple of days.

We booked a shore excursion for our cruise today. We will be taking a boat to a private snorkeling and shipwreck location in Grand Cayman. Can't' wait! It should be awesome.

Cruisin' in 6 days!!

We've had a busy week. Started off with Jonathan's Monday & Tuesday night sports. Wednesday I took Daphne to her trial at Doggie Day Care. We found a great place to board Daphne when we're away that doesn't use kennels. She'll be able to run around all week except for eating and sleeping. After he half day trial she was sleeping for about a day. She had 14 other dogs with her that day. Wednesday night we went to Jonathan's old MSO's house for dinner and then last night we went to another friends for a Cinco de Mayo BBQ. We've had too many late nights this week. Tonight we are heading up to La Plata Canyon for some much needed time away and camping! Just for one night but it should be a fun time. Sunday there is a New Hire Network (NHN) event at the dog park from 2-4 so we'll be out with the dogs for the afternoon.

It's snowing in Farmington.

I hope our plants survive this crazy weather.

The countdown has begun....13 days until we're cruisin' the Caribbean. The sunscreen is bought and more importantly the aloe is for when I forget to re-apply. Saying we're ready to go is an understatement.

We have had a good weekend trying to pass the time until the cruise. Friday we headed up to Durango for dinner at one of our favorite places, Mama's Boy. Apparently it is prom season so there were lots of large groups and that's not necessarily the best place for large groups so it was kinda crazy. We ended up sitting downstairs at the bar. The services from bad and it was very loud. Jonathan was more than annoyed, but when the food came it all became okay. We had planned to to go a movie afterwards, but after out 2 hour ordeal we were ready to go home.

Saturday we went out for breakfast and went to see Water for Elephants. I had read the book a while back with book club so I had to go check it out. It was good, pretty much just like the book. Kinda long, but a great story. We went for a sushi dinner after the movie

I took Daphne to the dog park today and she had a great time as usual.

Hoping it doesn't snow tonight. We've got a freeze warning and it's very cold today. Ready for the beach!!

Jonathan is home from his week in Vegas and resting up. Daphne and I are enjoying the cool rainy evening with the doors open.

Happy Easter!

It's been a while since I've posted anything. We have been getting ready for summer. Jonathan's afterwork sports have started up for 2 nights a week and I'm going with the pup for a run/walk many nights after work at a local wilderness park. I've also started tanning to help prevent getting too sunburnt on our cruise (28 days!!).

Jonathan is heading out tomorrow morning for Las Vegas for the week. I think he gets home Friday, but I'm not sure. He has some training there so he gets a free trip. I'm jealous I decided I didn't want to join him we he booked it, now I want to go. But we have plans to go later this year so I'll get to go them.

I've been swamped at work lately. I went in this morning and will go in tomorrow morning too to get a project ready. It's huge and complicated, but worth about $60M so it's worth the effort. Unfortunately I don't get any of that..ha!

That's about all. Lots of work and some playtime for us. We're ready for summer, camping and fun!!
