New TV

We recently got a new TV for our living room! We love it!
Believe it or not, I actually talked Jonathan into getting it. Crazy! :)

Vegas, here we come!

We have booked our trip to Vegas. We will be going April 1-4 with our good friends Chuck and Emily. We are very excited!! It will be Jonathan and my first trip there. We're staying at the Monte Carlo in a Strip View Suite. Can't WAIT!!!

In other news, we'll be in Oklahoma in a week and a half! We're excited about getting back to Oklahoma to see everyone we can.

I had a successful book club meeting at my house last weekend. We had a good time talking about the book and watching the movie. Our next book is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's a memoir about a woman who got divorce and went to travel the world and found great food, religion, and love in Italy, India, and Indonesia. I checked the book out from the library and am planning to check out the CD so I can listen to it at work too.

I'm planning to do more scrapbooking soon. Emily and my friend Vanessa (they got me into scrapbooking to start with) and I are planning to scrapbook our weddings together soon. I also want to do out honeymoon and this Vegas trip. I'm planning to go tack advantage of the 50% scrapbooking this week at Hobby Lobby. Jonathan just roles his eyes at this idea! :) But I'm loving it.

We're going to a few co-workers today to watch the Super Bowl. Since we don't watch NFL much we don't have an opinion on who wins, but it should be a fun evening.

Short and Sweet

There is LOTS of snow in Farmington. It's been snowing every night this week. Today is snowed all day, now is raining. More snow until Saturday.

Change in plans for the OK trip. We'll now be coming in February. Most likely the 3rd or 4th weekend.

Random

I'm sitting at working, killing time on my lunch break, trying not to fall asleep.

Jonathan picked me up for a quick bite today and I ate way too much at my favorite taco place in town. It's fast food, but all fresh and homemade. Now I'm feeling it. ZZZZ!

We're trying to plan a trip to Oklahoma this Spring. We're tentatively planning Easter weekend. I will be going to a friends bridal shower (Amanda, I'm a bridemaid in her May wedding) So that would take an afternoon away from my on April 3rd. if we decide to come. It would be a quick trip, maybe 4 days, but not plans yet. I'll keep you posted.

Tomorrow's Jonathan's birthday and our friend Andrew (who's been living with us) last day. I'm making Jonathan his favorite, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and funfetti cake! It should be a fun day.

We're ready for our turkey fry saturday night. We should have a good group of friends to help us eat it. Jonathan showed me the "flame"/torch from the burner last night. Of course, he had it full blast, we won't be cooking the turkey with that flame! :)

I will be hosting the first book club meeting at my place on Jan. 30th. I'm excited, we'll watch the movie that goes with the book and have a good time. Since we're reading the Secret Life of Bees I thought I would get everyone some Burt's Bees chapstick and a small jar of honey or something like that for their goody bags I'll be making.
