Daphne

Jonathan named our little girl.
Since she is a german shep/border collie we're thinking she'll be pretty smart. He chose Daphne from Scooby Doo cartoon!

We got a puppy. She's getting spayed tonight and we'll bring her home tomorrow after work.

She is a german shepard border collie mix. She's 2 months old. We think we are going to name her Alli, but haven't decided on that for sure. She's very sweet and like to give you love! :)

Here are her first shot with her Dad.

Hammock

We hung our hammock Monday night! It works great. It's in the shade in the late afternoon and evenings and perfect for relaxing.

It's time again

for us to make a trip to Oklahoma. We will be leaving bright and early Thursday morning.

We had a fun weekend. Friday night we went to a BBQ at some friends house. They are from Louisiana and recently made a trip there. On their way back they brought a lot of sausage, alligator, venison, and pork. So we got to help them it eat!! Yum!!!!!!

Saturday we went to a COP pool party. It was a little cool for the pool, but Jonathan had a great time playing volleyball all day. Later that evening we went to watch the new Terminator with the same friends from above. After the movie we had dinner at some other friends house and had a great night.

Sunday we decided to finally hang out hammock we bought in Mexico. We went to Lowes and got some concrete and some cedar posts. They are in the ground and tonight we will hang the hammock. It won't be ready to use for a day or so. I'll get some pictures soon. It will be nice!!!

Tonight Jonathan is playing Frisbee Football with the New Hire Network with COP. It is everyone hired in the last 5 years and interns. They get together at least once a week and play frisbee football or volleyball. He loves it!!

We are excited to be in OK in a few days and see lots of family. It should be a tiring, but a great trip!!!

The latest

Last week went fast and it felt like we were constantly moving.

A few days last week we were at of our rental house getting last minute things done and then got checked out of it.

Jonathan was in an API golf tournament Thursday and Friday. He had a great time. Saturday afternoon we went back to the course to see some friends. Then went back that evening for dinner, the raffle and hearing the scores. We didn't win anything at the raffle with our tickets, but got a "goodie" bag with someone elses. (Which we later threw away. We didn't need any pens, coffee mug or other random stuff.) Jonathan's friend did give him a fishing pole he won, but didn't want.

Before that on Sat. morning we had to go buy a new washing machine. We were very frustrated with that. We bought it a little over a year ago. 1 yr. 5 days in fact. I know this because out 1 yr. warranty was 5 days overdue. We were very irritated with that, but now we've got a nice new one!!

Sunday we went to Durango. I had been wanting sushi so we heading up to our favorite place during their happy hour and got a LOT of sushi! I was great. After that we headed to Lemon Resevoir just outside of Durango to a lake. Some friends asked about going camping soon since they know we are always up for it. We drove around checking out camping spots and did a little hiking. Here are some pictures from out trip.

We stopped back in Durango for a quick bite before heading back to Farmington. We ate at a great place called The Cyprus Cafe. We had lavendar lemonade, stuffed clamari and soup. We sat out on their patio and listened to relaxing music. I was really nice! (Robert & Lisa we're taking you two here for sure next time you make it out!!!!)

Next week we'll be back in OK for another quick, weekend trip. We'll be in on Thursday, out on Sunday. Our friends are getting married in Mustang and Jonathan is one of the groomsmen. We can't wait to get to see family again and have fun at the wedding.

(yep, I took pictures while Jonathan put it together!! :) )

We didn't have our wood moved over yet from the old place yet, so we got rid of some of our boxes and paper from moving.

Patio Project

This weekend we've got a lot of yard work. Jonathan cleaned up the cacti in our front yard. He only have minor wounds from that! I pulled LOTS of weeds and we're hoping to have our yard green again soon.

We made our patio a little nicer today. After helping some friends build a fountain/pond in their yard we were inspired and bought some plants (roma tomato, green bell peppers, jalepeno, habenero pepper), flowers and a fire pit for our patio. After a day in the sun I only have a sunburn on my shoulders!!

All-in-all, a successful weekend.

I can't get the pictures to upload, but will post them soon.

We're in

the new house. We had a big group help us over the weekend and got all the furniture moved in only two trips. Jonathan and I moved the boxes and small stuff Friday night so Saturday would just be furniture. We have mostly everything unpacked. There are a few rooms that still need to be arranged, but the house is coming together quick! This is our living room at the moment

This picture is looking into the living room from the front door.

Work for both of us and good. Jonathan is really busy at work and getting lots of projects done. The interns at COP have started to arrive, this means lots of activities and events will also begin for the summer.

We've (I've) started looking for puppies. We aren't planning on getting one until after our trip back to OK in June, but that hasn't stopped be from looking to see what's out there. We are pretty sure we will be going to the Farmington or Durango shelter to find a puppy. We both want one now, but don't want to bring a puppy that we're trying to train on a trip to OK soon after we get it. So we're waiting and will wait to find the right dog at the shelter. We both want a puppy medium-large size that we can take camping, hiking, etc. Jonathan wants a border collie, I want a lab. If you hear of anything in the OK area that's free or not more $$ than the shelter let us know. We'd be interested in picking one up in June in OK if we could.

We planted the wildflowers from our wedding in our backyard on our anniversary. It was a coincidence, but cute! :) We had the large half barrel pots that were empty and decided to plant them since we already had them. We should be seeing them in a few weeks.

We had a great anniversary. We spent it getting the house together, but it was fun. Can't ask for a better anniversary gift than a house! :)

It's been a while

since I last posted. We have been very busy lately so I'll try and fill you in.
We had a great trip to Oklahoma. I was fun to see family and spend time with them. We didn't see everyone, but luckily we'll be back in a month from today for four days.
We instantly felt the humidity when we arrived in OKC. The air was SO thick it was hard to catch out breath. Been away one year and forgot something we grew up with our entire lives.
The shower was fun and went well. Below is a great pic of our growing Coberly clan.

We move this weekend. We will close this Thursday, get the keys Friday and begin moving things after work. Our plan is to move all of our boxes and small things Friday night. Saturday morning we've got a lot of friends that are going to help up move. It should go quick! Then we'll have our first BBQ for those that helped up move.

I am officially full-time at my work. No longer a temp employee. I've got paid vacation and days off now, which will be nice. I've been bragging to Jonathan about the number of days I get off compared to Jonathan. It doesn't mean much since he gets more overall with one day off a month whenever he wants it, but it's still fun! :)

Our one year wedding anniversary is Sunday. I can't believe it's been a year already!! Not sure if we'll be doing anything special since we're moving.
